You only need two bowls &#8211; one for the brownie batter and one for the cookie dough. This recipe also uses melted butter, so you don&#8217;t even need a mixer to make them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All you have to do is prepare each one, then alternate spoonfuls of brownie batter and cookie dough into a 9&#215;13 baking dish. Once the bars are baked, you end up with a unique blend of flavors and textures in every single bite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bring a batch of brookies to your next potluck or family gathering. Or, take a pan into the office this week as a special something for your coworkers. It&#8217;s also important that you make sure to spoon and level your flour into the measuring cup. If you scoop the flour, you can end up with too much and super cakey brookies. If you&#8217;re new to baking, I have a post on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livewellbakeoften.com\/how-to-measure-flour\/\">how to measure flour correctly<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cocoa Powder: <\/strong>Since the brownie batter doesn&#8217;t use any baking soda or baking powder, you may use either natural or Dutch process cocoa powder for this recipe. If you&#8217;re curious about the difference between the two, I highly recommend reading through my post on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livewellbakeoften.com\/natural-vs-dutch-process-cocoa-powder\/\">natural vs. Dutch process cocoa powder<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Eggs: <\/strong>To bind everything together. Make sure to bring the eggs to room temperature for both the brownie batter and cookie dough. If you forget to do so, simply set them in a bowl of warm tap water for 10 minutes. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Unsalted Butter: <\/strong>I used melted butter to keep things as easy as possible. You&#8217;ll want to alternate between the two so they intermingle. Then, use a butter knife to swirl them together. Don&#8217;t worry, it doesn&#8217;t have to be perfect! <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
